A generic drug is one that has the identical makeup as a brand name drug.

Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety disorders include panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and phobias

Compensation
A defense mechanism, operating unconsciously, by which one attempts to make up for real or fancied deficiencies.

Affective Disorders
Refers to disorders of mood.

Depressive disorders
Encompass major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, and bipolar disorder. Bipolar disorder is included because people with this illness have depressive episodes as well as manic episodes.

Schizophrenia
A chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that affects about 1 percent of people all over the world. People with schizophrenia sometimes hear voices others don’t hear, believe that others are broadcasting their thoughts to the world, or become convinced that others are plotting to harm them.
